An Evening with Yin Yoga to Cool Down + Unwind

Join Rebecca for a 90-min Yin Yoga Experience. This restorative class guides students into a deep awareness of the physical body and breath through Yin Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation.
Yin Yoga emphasizes depth and simplicity. Students mindfully move into supine and seated postures while keeping the muscles relaxed, targeting connective tissue, ligaments, and fascia throughout the body. Poses are generally held for 3-5 minutes. This practice supports the long-term health and flexibility of the joints, recharges the energetic system of the body, and naturally draws the mind inward to a meditative state.
Guided pranayama, deep relaxation, and meditation will be weaved throughout the practice. As we transition to late summer, this classes offers the mind + body the opportunity to slow down, cool off, and be present.
Must be at minimum 10 weeks post partum to participate with clearance from medical doctor. This is a group exercise class, if concerned about pelvic floor and core strength for movement - and specifics for you and your body - please schedule a one-on-one session with Dr. Emily for a full pelvic floor assessment.
