Prenatal Labor Training and Visualization Techniques

with Krista O’Dea of One Strong Mother

Prepare your body and mind for the marathon of labor and birth.

In addition to building stamina through safe and gentle body work, we will focus on meditation and relaxation techniques to build mental endurance while incorporating visualizations to inspire positive birth experiences and communicate with your growing baby.

This holistic, mind and body corrective exercise style program prioritizes proper breathing techniques to activate and engage the powerhouse of your body - the core - with an emphasis on preventing diastasis recti and facilitating pelvic floor health. We will begin our class with breath and core activation. After your core is activated and engaged, we will move on to more detailed strength circuits utilizing hand weights, bands and barre balls that will target your glutes, core, scapular girdle and chest. We will top off class with a gentle cardio circuit and end with a stress-relieving, grounding meditation.

Be prepared to leave class feeling energized, strong and relaxed! Please bring a water bottle and wear comfortable workout clothing.

Grippy socks are optional as barefoot is preferred.
