Kat Benny is a certified early childhood and elementary teacher, E-RYT 200, RCYT, and a Qualified Teacher of MBSR, dedicated to supporting the well-being of people of all ages through yoga and mindfulness practices.

After completing her yoga teacher training in 2016, Kat began integrating mindfulness into her kindergarten classroom, where she witnessed firsthand its powerful impact on her young students—transforming classroom behavior, enhancing emotional regulation, and improving social interactions. Inspired by these shifts, she went on to lead professional development sessions and children’s yoga workshops for Ramapo College’s Education Program and Yoga Teacher Training.

In 2020, Kat developed a comprehensive mindfulness curriculum, which she now implements in her role as Mindfulness Teacher for the Rumson School District. Kat is honored and delighted to share her passion and experience teaching children’s yoga and mindfulness at EmBodied.
