Join Dr. Emily (pelvic floor physical therapist) for a functional movement, beginner friendly foundational mat pilates class with focus on core and pelvic floor strength.
This class will integrate all of the basic pilates moves with anatomical consideration, coordination and basic lessons. Each 45 minute class will begin with a warm up, a specific target area for strength and coordination and a pilates style strengthening series.
Pilates is great for those who are:
Looking to lengthen and strengthen the muscles
Engage the areas of the body that feel weak
Need extra care and monitoring for support and stability
A foundation of strength at baseline for generalized improvement of muscle tone and safety
Any current and former pelvic floor patients looking to strengthen and elongate their pelvic floors
This class is a great foundation for movement practices and will lengthen, tone and generally improve bodily alignment, stability and strength. Perfect for the long time student as well as the beginner for foundational strengthening movements.
