Thursdays 10:15-11:15

March 7- April 11 (6 weeks)

This class provides the fundamentals of Yoga in a format that is accessible and inclusive for all bodies. Students will be guided through breath work and a series of poses that address the major joints and muscle groups in the body.

Select standing postures will be instructed with the support of a chair and modifications will be provided for those who choose to remain seated. Classes will end with relaxation and meditation. All levels are welcome, including prenatal students, beginners, and individuals with physical conditions that impact mobility such as MS or fibromyalgia.

Rebecca has been instructing chair yoga for over 10 years with a wide range of students including classes for seniors, individuals with MS, COPD, and osteopenia and osteoporosis. Additionally, during both of her pregnancies Rebecca practiced and instructed chair yoga regularly.

Must be at minimum 10 weeks post partum to participate with clearance from medical doctor. This is a group exercise class, if concerned about pelvic floor and core strength for movement - and specifics for you and your body - please schedule a one-on-one session with Dr. Emily for a full pelvic floor assessment.
