FUNctional Movement + Mindfulness

with Rebecca White

An immersive workshop experience

November 18th at 8:30 am

This series focuses on Mind + Body Wellbeing in a playful and intentional method that

combines functional fitness techniques and mindfulness practices.

The movement component incorporates Yoga, Pilates, and Barre to stretch and

strengthen your physical body with low-impact cardio, light-weight training, and deep

stretching. All exercises are DR-safe, and modifications will be offered to meet varying

fitness levels. Movement is paired with upbeat music and instruction.

The last 25 minutes of class is dedicated to relaxation, deep breathing (pranayama), and

mindfulness meditation. Students will be guided through simple and effective

approaches to activate the parasympathetic nervous system response to guide their

mind and body into a relaxed and calm state.

Must be at minimum 10 weeks post partum to participate with clearance from medical doctor. This is a group exercise class, if concerned about pelvic floor and core strength for movement - and specifics for you and your body - please schedule a one-on-one session with Dr. Emily for a full pelvic floor assessment.
