As the womanhood journey moves into the peri-menopause and menopause phase of the wheel, hormones begin to fluctuate for up to 10 years.

You may be noticing that the training your body once responded to is no longer “working.”

You may notice changes in your body, especially around your abdomen.

This hormonally driven change also includes body composition shifts, rise of cortisol, and a degree of insulin resistance.

What can you do to navigate this change? Work out smarter and shorter! Short intensity interval training, such as Tabata, improves insulin sensitivity, lowers fasting blood sugar levels, reduces hormonal and cortisol induced belly fat, increases endurance and strength, increases lean muscle, and reduces stress.

The goal of Tabata is to dial down the volume of work and dial up the intensity.

Doing a Tabata workout just 1 time a week can result in all the above-mentioned benefits!

What to expect?

  • High intensity work for 20 seconds, rest for 10 seconds, and repeat this interval 8 times. After this first set, we rest for a full 3-4 minutes and do it all over again…two more times!

The goal is to get your heart rate approximately 85% of your max. In less than 30 minutes, you get an amazing Tabata workout!

Pair this class with my Strong Woman series to learn how to use your core correctly, incorporate heavy lifting, and notice results within a month’s time.

Be prepared to sweat!

Bring a water bottle and wear comfortable workout clothing.

Barefoot/Grippy socks preferred.

Non-mobile babies welcomed.

Please be advised this class is for mothers at least 12 weeks postpartum who have taken my other series to prepare the core and body for this type of intensity.
