Late Winter to Spring Transition Flow & Strengthen Series

Join us for a practice that honors the threshold between winter's depth and spring's emerging energy. This series meets us right where we are—in the liminal space between rest and renewal, between the inward pull of late winter and the stirring impulse toward growth.

Each class begins with grounding breathwork to sense what this moment asks of us, followed by flows that gradually build warmth and momentum.

We'll incorporate strengthening work that prepares the body for seasonal transition—exploring longer holds, dynamic movements, and variations that challenge both stability and adaptability. Expect elements of hip-opening sequences, gentle backbends, and core work that supports the body's readiness to shift and expand.

This practice acknowledges the non-linear nature of seasonal change. Some days we'll honor winter's continued call for slowness and consolidation; other days we'll begin to explore spring's tentative reach toward light and opening.

Rather than forcing movement before we're ready, we'll cultivate the kind of responsive strength that allows us to meet change with both steadiness and flexibility.

Each session closes with restorative rest, creating space for the body to integrate this transition at its own pace. This is practice as a bridge—honoring where we've been while preparing for where we're going.

Suitable for students with a foundation in yoga who are ready to explore seasonal transitions through both movement and stillness.

Emily Bessemer PT, DPT, PRPC, 200ERYT, RPYT
Dr. Emily Bessemer is the owner of EmBodied Physical Therapy and a pelvic floor physical therapist with over a decade of hands on work in the pelvic bowl, energy field and movement medicine for alignment, mobility and restoration of the magic with in the body. She’s treated hundreds of women at EmBodied Physical Therapy to connect with their womb space energy, movement practices, and alignment physically + energetically to move from their most embodied space. She is a certified reiki master teacher, prenatal yoga teacher, pilates instructor and Arvigo Abdominal massage practitioner. Dr. Emily offers her longer form musings and writings on her Substack: EmBodied & Unfiltered.
