Girlfriends

(A Queer Road-trip Tragedy-Comedy)

Written and Performed by Sara Malinowski

Friday January 23, 2026 at 6:30pm

Why get breakup bangs when you could cross the country with a stranger?

Travel with two “girlfriends” across the U.S. in a 98 Honda Civic in 2014 with $200. Watch while they explore everything from sex to sandstone to Shakespeare to singing for gasoline, and see if they ever reach the peak of their truth.

For when you don’t yet know how to heal, but you know how to drive.

A true story that starts with a lie.

Come see a staged reading, first-time one-woman rendition of Girlfriends, followed by a talkback with the playwright.

Suggested Donation $5-$50, support our artists!
