Breastfeeding Basics
with Kim Guccione
Sunday 10/19 at 12pm
Prenatal Education for Expecting Parents 90-minute in-person class
Ideal between 27–32 weeks of pregnancy
This thoughtfully designed class prepares expecting mothers (and their partners!) to begin breastfeeding with confidence and clarity.
Together, we’ll:
✔️ Set realistic expectations for the early days and weeks postpartum
✔️ Discuss essential breastfeeding techniques and latch basics
✔️ Identify ways to incorporate breastfeeding into your birth and postpartum plans In our culture, we tend to prepare extensively for birth—yet often take a “wait and see” approach to feeding.
While every baby and breastfeeding journey is unique, learning the basics of how lactation works before baby arrives can make all the difference.
This class provides foundational knowledge and hands-on guidance to help you feel informed, empowered, and supported from day one.
✨ Partners are encouraged to attend — their involvement plays a huge role in the breastfeeding experience.
✨ Includes access to online resources for continued support and reference after birth.

Meet Your Instructor:
Kim Guccione is a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), proud mother of three, and former public school educator with a passion for teaching and supporting families. After the birth of her third child, Kim felt a powerful calling to transition from the classroom to the world of maternal health — where she could directly support mothers during one of the most transformative times of their lives.
With the encouragement of loved ones (including Dr. Emily), Kim began her journey in lactation by serving as a Peer Breastfeeding Counselor with WIC (Women, Infants, and Children). There, she worked closely with breastfeeding families from a wide range of backgrounds, gaining deep experience in offering empathetic, evidence-based support. While in that role, she earned her certification as a CLC and solidified her passion for walking alongside parents as they navigate feeding their babies.
Today, Kim runs her own private lactation practice, where she combines her strengths as an educator, counselor, and mother to provide compassionate, personalized, and research-driven lactation support. Whether you're breastfeeding, pumping, combo-feeding, or still figuring out your plan, Kim meets you with zero judgment and full-hearted encouragement.
She is honored to be part of your village — and looks forward to walking with you on your breastfeeding journey.
