Prenatal Yoga 6 Week Series

No Class 4/14 or 5/5

make up dates: 5/19 & 6/2

(No Class Easter 3/31 or Memorial Day Weekend 5/26 - There is class Mother’s Day 5/12 but additional makeup 6/2 for those who cannot make it)

This series is focused around the season of winter with mindfulness practice, breath work and movements all integrated in to a prenatal specific yoga class. In class mamas are encouraged to connect with their baby, create bonding and space with in the body and pelvis to prepare and strengthen for birth.

This class is taught by pelvic floor physical therapist Emily Bessemer. Emily has been in the field of women’s health for over 10 years - working with women of all ages and stages to connect to their pelvic floors, Emily is excited to expand her PF reach to include prenatal yoga out of EmBodied Physical Therapy, her private practice. Expect this series to be interactive and fun! We will focus on moving in to the late summer season and integration for the fall.

Prenatal Yoga is an amazing adjunct to birth classes and birth preparation for the pelvic floor and more. Through gentle movements, core activation and mobility of the soft tissues around the hips and pelvis it can be utilized to allow for ease and preparation for birth.
